Coat of arms of Uganda
Appearance
The Uganda features a traditional shield with blue and white wavy lines symbolizing the country's lakes, overlaid by a golden sun representing sunshine and prosperity. Below the sun is a golden traditional drum. The shield is supported by a kob (a type of antelope) and the Crested Crane, the national bird. The whole rests on a green mound, representing the fertile land. The motto reads: "For God and My Country."
Usage
The coat of arms is used on official documents, government buildings, and symbolizes the sovereignty of Uganda.
